If you thought the animosity between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey had settled, then you are mistaken. During today’s showing of ABC’s The View, host Barbara Walters confirmed that she spoke with Mariah Carey following her heated argument with Minaj during the first American Idol audition round in Charlotte, North Carolina and according to Carey, the Young Money rapper threatened her life.
“Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot the b***h’,” Walters told the audience. Walters also spoke on Carey’s behalf, insisting Minaj “has not apologized, but they have since been at meetings with producers and judges.”
Following the incident, Carey is said to have bumped up her security team, and Minaj allegedly warned producers that there may be more mayhem.
Walters also extended an invitation for Minaj to appear on The View, but the rapper has other tricks up her sleeve. Today she went on a Twitter ran insisting, “I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave.”
She adds: “I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
All we can say is…what about the talented acts, focus on them!
