After chasing and achieving his pop dreams with the huge pop hit “Down,” Jay Sean is back to his R&B roots in the The Mistress II, the follow-up to 2011’s The Mistress. Now that he’s parted ways with Cash Money, he’s artistically free on the indie circuit with this project.
“The Mistress II is a return to my musical roots,” said Jay. “I needed to make music that meant, music that had substance again.” Headed by “Tears in the Ocean” and “All I Want,” The Mistress II includes 9 original songs of Jay’s smooth vocals and sensual, heartfelt lyrics. Jay’s flow and harmonies on songs like “The Artist” and “Sex With The Ex” prove he’s in his element.
