Mariah Carey look in the upcoming Lee Daniels-directed film, The Butler, will give fans one of those rare moments to see the R&B diva without being glammed-up. A new photo has surfaced that shows Carey picking cotton in a field, minus her normal make-up, stiletto heels and so forth. In the film, Carey plays a field slave name Hattie Pearl.
The Butler, based on a true story of former White House butler Eugene Allen, the historical drama centers on Cecil Gaines (played by Forest Whitaker) who serves eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes felt by American society at that time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affect the man's life and family.
The film also features Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, Liev Schreiber as Lyndon B., Oprah Winfrey, Terrence Howard and Cube Gooding Jr.
