Jessie J has a new collaborator, but it’s not for a new song (at least not at the moment).
The "Bang Bang" hitmaker, who confirmed that she had a "bisexual phase" in the past, is now dating Grammy nominated R&B singer-songwriter Luke James, who she calls, "My first ever official #mcm. My man. My crush. My Monday morning."
Jessie, who recently told UK’s The Guardian, "I want to stop talking about it (bisexuality) completely now and find myself a husband," seems to be on track for her goal.
"He’s an artist from New Orleans," she explained while visiting UK’s ITV. "I met him in New York. He’s amazing. He’s a singer-songwriter. It was in the papers that he’s a rapper – he’s not a rapper, he’s a singer. He’s incredible. I’m really happy."
This new feeling of happiness sees Jessie taking every free time possible to spend time with Luke.
She adds: "Teamwork makes the dream work. Whenever I have time off or he has time off. It's early days, but I think as you get older you experience different kinds of love through your life and I’ve got to the point where I want to celebrate someone that I’ve found."
James, who is one of the best live performers we've ever witnessed, released his self-titled debut album in September (2014). He also was selected personally by Beyoncé to perform as her opening act on her Mrs. Carter World tour. "Luke James is pure talent. He is a gifted singer and songwriter. I am excited to have him continue on the tour," Beyoncé stated at the time.
He previously dated Beyoncé’s backup dancer Kim Gingras.
Best wishes to the happy couple!
