Oct 28, 2013 marks the date of a remarkable partnership between the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, the media corporation MLE Network, and the digital public relations agency GAME Media. In time for the holidays, these entities will work together to increase awareness of the philanthropic legacy of the late rapper, Tupac Amaru Shakur.
“We've been looking for the right non-profit to support, with a focus in youth development through leadership training and the performing arts, TASF is right up our alley. MLE's goal is to brand the non-profit within our audience network and help them receive their fundraising goals.” – Adeniyi Omisore, COO of the MLE Network.
With a goal set to expand the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia, MLE Network and GAME Media have strategically designed a plan to help generate donations and get the construction under way. The plan will be a series of digital and in-market campaigning, aligning the non-profit with influential brands and media partners.
Additionally, fundraising efforts will also re-introduce Tupac and Afeni Shakur as community leaders and showcase the non-profits’ contributions, accomplishments, and fundamental classes that have guided and mentored at risk youth since 1999. Funds will be used for theater expansion as well as support for the Peace Garden, and Leadership & Arts youth program.
“Tupac was passionate about the young people of our future. He had a desire for a center that could provide a positive environment for youth to grow. We want to help the foundation as they continue to encourage their students' development and train them in the arts. We’re thrilled to be involved.” – Kisha Scott, GAME Media
“Tupac has a generational appeal and fan base that spans the entire globe. We want to ensure that the breadth of this audience is aware of Tupac's creative works and desires, and the profound impact those works and desires still have to this day. I believe MLE and GAME Media can help build this awareness and garner the support we need to continue his legacy." – Vernal Cambridge, TASF Executive Director.
