Alicia Keys will head south of the border this fall as the newest confirmed star to “Rock In Rio” for the music festival of the same name.
For seven days, over two consecutive weekends (Sept. 13-15 and Sept. 19-22), Alicia will join everyone from Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, John Mayer to Beyonce, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Muse and Iron Maiden will take the stage in the beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to entertain a crowd upwards of 700,000 people.
"I'm so excited to perform at Rock in Rio. I have been wanting to come and perform in Brazil for a long time and doing so as a part of this legendary festival that brings people together from all over the world is a truly special experience for me," Keys said.
Previous performers included Shakira, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Coldplay.
Keys is scheduled to perform on Sept 15.
