Grammy winner, Jennifer Hudson, will help kick off this year's Super Bowl festivities by performing alongside students from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut, during the pregame show. The performance will take place prior to Alicia Keys singing the national anthem and a little before kick off.
Fox News confirmed that Hudson will join the children during the chorus of their rendition of "America the Beautiful."
The NFL has been an avid supporter of the Newton community since the horrific incident occurred. Players have also been supporting the school by wearing 'S.H.E.S.' stickers on helmets, holding moments of silence at games and making donations to relevant causes.
The league is flying in all the children and their families to New Orleans for the special performance.
