Rihanna’s Former Accountants Blame Her For Financial Woes

Rihanna filed a lawsuit last month claiming her accountants failed to inform her that she was facing a financial crisis. Now those accountants say it’s all her fault and they want a judge to throw her case out.
As previously reported, the “Talk That Talk” diva is being audited over returns from 2008 to 2010. Because of that she filed suit and alleged Berdon LLP defrauded her out of millions in fees.
According to TMZ, Berdon LLP filed documents recently claiming Rihanna signed an agreement that entitled them to 22% commission, a rate Rihanna alleged was way above standard.
Citing permission to take that twenty-two percent of earnings, they say it was Rihanna’s “own financial action or inaction” that caused her to be in debt and in a situation with the IRS.
A judge has not yet ruled on the case.
In related news, Rihanna will be seen on the OWN network’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” Sunday. In an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna will discuss her journey from Barbados to the top of the charts.
