Contrary to any rumors, Nelly says he and Ashanti are still “cool.”
Discussing his current palette of projects, including a new album and reality series, the Grammy winner says he’d rather be talked about than not remembered at all.
“I’m bad drug free,” Nelly told 92Q regarding rumors he was addicted to cocaine. “The thing about it is, if they are aren’t talking about you then you’re not worth talking about as much as we wouldn’t want to have negative things hanging out there.”
In good news, Nelly is currently shooting scenes for his forthcoming series “The Next.” Due to premiere on the CW this August, the series is a reality singing competition of sorts, looking for aspiring recording artists.
Meeting with talent in Baltimore recently, Nelly told 92Q they “have some dope talent. It’s going to be crazy.”
