March ‘madness’ is in full effect, not just for the NCAA, but in the R&B/Pop world. Expect new releases from a number of veterans as well as a chart-topping producer/songwriter. Kicking March off strong, March 10th, the first major release block, features the anticipated sophomore effort from chart-topping producer The-Dream; former “Bed” singer J. Holiday; and fresh music from Hollywood Records star Corbin Bleu. Riding high on the single “Rockin’ That Sh**,” The-Dream is set to follow up on 2007s Gold-certified debut “Love Hate” with “Love Vs. Money” March 10. Also featuring the Mariah Carey assisted cut “My Love,” “Love Vs. Money,” at 14 tracks, includes Kanye West (“Walking on the Moon”) and Lil John (“Let Me See The Booty”). Like The-Dream, R&B singer J. Holiday is set to unleash a highly anticipated sophomore album titled “Round 2” on March 10. Holiday’s album, a follow up to the Grammy-nominated “Back of My Lac,” is led by the single “It’s Yours”. In speaking with Singersroom recently, J. Holiday said “I’m just trying to stay consistent. I don’t want to do records that are similar to other records that are out.” The former “Bed” singer’s album also features production from The-Dream and Jasper Cameron. Moving further into March, Gospel/inspirational artist Tonex will release his highly anticipated album “Unspoken” March 17. “Unspoken,” the artist’s first album in a number of years and a controversial hiatus from music entirely, is led by the single “Blend”. Following Tonex, Hip Hop Soul veteran Case returns to music with “The Rose Experience,” the former “Missing You” and “Touch Me Tease Me” singer’s first album in over seven years. Led by the single/video “Lovely,” “The Rose Experience” is slated to be released via Indigo Blue/A2M March 24. New projects from former American Idol star Mandisa; Electrik Red and Leela James are also set for release March 24. Soul singer Ann Nesby rounds out this month’s releases with “The Lula Lee Project,” due March 31.
