Mariah Carey’s brother Morgan is slamming his sister in the media once again, this time to defend their sister, Alison (below), a former prostitute who’s HIV positive and currently battling rapidly-deteriorating health.
According to the UK tabloid The Sun, Morgan allegedly reached out to them to let the world know his sister is supposedly neglecting her ailing sibling, who he says needs brain and spinal surgery in order to survive.
“Your sister is dying and she is struggling and where are you? You think you are so fabulous, but you are a witch,” he told The Sun in an interview on March 12. “Mariah needs to step up,” Morgan continued. “I flew in from Hawaii last year when Alison was taken off a ventilator, believing she was going to die. My sister [Mariah] didn’t even show up at the hospital. Thankfully, Alison had a miraculous recovery, but now she needs brain and spinal surgery and will be going into hospital any day,” he added. “Alison has desperately reached out to Mariah over and over again. We never hear back.”
He goes on to say Mariah ignored his email after telling her some bad news regarding his family. “I told Mariah my wife had miscarried and she never even responded to that email either,” Morgan told The Sun. “But that’s typical,” he added, “because the world has to revolve around Mariah and there is no room in the world apart from her.”
Mariah Carey hasn’t had the best relationship with her siblings. The international singer has been estranged from her sister Alison for most of her life, but Mariah has repeatedly tried to financially tried to help her under the radar to no avail. A source told the National Enquirer in 2015, “Although their relationship has been strained since they were young, Mariah supported Alison and her children on and off for years. She also helped pay for Alison’s drug rehab as well as her treatment when she was diagnosed with HIV in the 1990s. But a vicious dispute over the responsibility and care of her children, her call-girl lifestyle, and Alison’s attempt to write a scathing tell-all book about Mariah and the Carey family has led to an estrangement of many years,” the source continued.
But in an interview with Star in 2015, Alison said she’s not trying to cypher money from Mariah. “I don’t want Mariah to think I only want her for her money, like everyone else does,” she told the mag. “I want her to love me again. I want her to be my sister again.”
This is a sad situation. Hopefully Mariah and her siblings can come together and sort out their differences before it’s too late.
