With a little help from their mommas, rappers 2 Chainz, YG, and Offset have their mothers star in their new video for their collaborative single, “Proud.”
The track is featured on Chainz’s The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It EP.
The Play Dont Care Who Makes It is the precursor to Chainz’s forthcoming project, Rap Or Go To The League. The rapper is said to highlight the formulas used to brainwash black and brown communities.
Shining light on the ladies who birthed them, the rappers made their mommas proud by highlighting their greatness. In a recent Instagram post, the Hair Weave Killer captioned behind the scenes photos, “I decided to let our moms shine in this video.”
2 Chainz shared a BTS video of all three moms dancing to the track and more photos show him and his mother enjoying their time on set.
“Yesterday was amazing, I wish my pops was here but I know he looking down,” he captioned another photo. “It is the most genuine smile I have had all year.
