Estelle issues a music video for her latest single, “Love Like Ours,” featuring Jamaican singer Tarrus Riley. In the clip, directed by Denzel Williams, the Grammy-winning R&B singer and the reggae star set up shop in a beautiful outdoors location as they narrate a love story through song. The actors, Gabbi Neal and Guy Peel Jr., play a young couple deeply in love., further emphasizing the songs love filled lyrics that embody the pride and joy of being in a relationship, making it a celebratory anthem for lovers everywhere.
“Love Like Ours” will serve as an exclusive song on the Reggae Gold 2017 compilation album from VP Records, a series that has showcased the best of dancehall, roots, and lovers rock reggae for over two decades.
The song is also the lead single from Estelle’s upcoming album, scheduled for Spring 2018. “Love Like Ours,” which draws you in with smooth guitar and keyboard hooks, showcase the pivotal influence reggae music has had on the London, England born singer.
Raised in a religious, Senegalese/Grenadian household, Estelle’s musical upbringing included a variety of Afro-Caribbean, Gospel, Hip-Hop and dance styles with a healthy dose of reggae music.
In related news, Estelle is set to perform this Saturday, September 30th at the annual Circle of Sisters (COS) event at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, the largest expo for women of color.
