Detroit-native and hip-hop emcee REDD release the first single “Memories” from his upcoming album/mixtape True Colors.
The chill song is a track rooted in reflection, playing into personal REDD’s personal experiences.
“You see my heart is bumping right through my chest / Been a while since I been on track / I keep reflecting and trying to figure where I lost my path,” he flows.
Proud of the city that he represents REDD grew up rapping and recording since the age of 12. Personal experiences play a very pivotal role in his music content. REDD finds influence from the likes of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Tech N9ne, Johnny Cash, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, incorporating them into different factions of his music.
True Colors is slated for release mid to late summer.
