We didn’t see this coming! Producer The-Dream drops an 8-track project of covers of the late legend Sam Cooke called IAMSAM.
According to Rolling Stone, the project is in remembrance of his mother who loved Sam Cooke’s music, and who passed away on this day (December 23) in 1992. It was recorded during Beyoncé’s 4 album sessions in 2010, but he decided to release the recordings now.
“My Mother loved a lot of artists growing up, but the one we shared the most interest in together was Sam Cooke, so tonight I give him back to her,” said Dream.
