Following her 2014 EP, Nightmares & Lullabies: Act I, L.A. singer/songwriter Victoria Monét releases the follow-up project, Nightmares & Lullabies: Act II.
Headed by the tunes “High Luv” and “See The Light,” the full project features more of Monét’s angelic vocals and whimsical production by executive producer Tommy Brown. T.I. is the only guest feature on the set.
She tells Billboard, "Nightmares & Lullabies is a metaphor for the juxtapositions one's life can display – bad days versus the best ones and how they can play off of each other. My voice represents the lullaby, and the tribal undertone in the music is dark like a nightmare." She says this project is like her baby. “As crazy as this sounds,” she said, “the EP makes me feel like a mother. Strict with standards, protective and critical, but proud and anxious to share the beauty of it. It's in my blood, my DNA, my soul."
