Jordin Sparks is enjoying being single after her public breakup from long-time boyfriend Jason Derulo.
The former couple called it quits after three years in September (2014), which lead to Derulo making media rounds about the breakup and Sparks recording the song “How Bout Now.”
Now, in a better place 'mentally', Sparks has no plans in jumping back in the dating pool, insisting she's in the best place she's been in years.
“I’m pretty much dating myself, who am I kidding?! I'm not ready to deal with all that,” Sparks told People. “I don't have time for distractions or people who are going to waste my time. But I'm in a really good place. Mentally, physically, spiritually – I'm in the best place I've been in years!”
While Jordin plans to remain single for a while, she did offer up the type of men she’s attracted to.
“As long as you're a good man who respects me, it doesn't take much,” the 25-year-old adds. “I'm pretty much equal-opportunity: black, white, brown, yellow, I don't care. As long as you've got a good job, it really doesn't matter what you do. You can do construction, you can play sports, you can be a musician …”
So, all you Jordin Sparks suitors need to get your life together!
