Iggy Azalea will use her newfound success to help fuel more album sales.
The Australian rapper will repackage and re-release her debut album, The New Classic, which boast the hit singles “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX and “Black Widow,” featuring Rita Ora.
Iggy confirmed the release via Twitter, writing, “shooting the album re pack cover art this week. can't wait for you guys to hear some new stuff. six new tracks. <3.”
Along with the six new songs, she also confirmed a feature with pop star Ellie Goulding. She adds, “me and ellie goulding have a nice little numberrrr together on there too. FYI.”
Currently, Iggy’s single “Black Window” is sitting at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and “Fancy,” Billboard’s ‘Song of the Summer,’ is not far behind at No. 13.
In related news, female rapper Lil Debbie is daring Iggy to make a solo hit without any features.
"I would like to see from Iggy, as another female white artist, if that’s what we’re going to say that we are, I want to see you put out one hit song that has nobody at all on it, not any other artist,” Debbie told HipHopDX. "None. Not Rita Ora. Not Charli [XCX]. Nobody. Not T.I. Not DJ Mustard. Not nobody.”
She continued: “I want you to put one hit out, catchy song. That’s it. I just want you to put on. You’re right under Nicki Minaj so put on for us, make a hit song that has nobody else on it ‘cause all I’ve seen so far is Rita Ora, Charli XCX. That’s all that I’ve heard on the radio."
Iggy’s previously released solo single “Work,” went gold, but failed to break Top 40.
Debbie could be seeking some attention after claiming she is finding it hard to get other people to work with her. In addition, she had a run in with Iggy in the past where she insists, “The b—- acted like she was too good for me.”
