Prince Rogers Nelson, know to the world as his mononym Prince, was born on June 7, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had a calling for music at an early age, writing his first song at age seven, but struggled to get heard before releasing his debut album, For You, in 1978. Fast forward to today, and over 100 million records sold worldwide, Prince is still making legendary moves, all while controlling his own ship.
Prince is an ICON. Since his debut, he has been sprinkling his unique sounds with diamonds and pearls and it will forever be carved in stone. He has maintained his relevancy for decades.
