Meek Mill is doing his part to help families in need this holiday season.
The “Sophisticated” rapper is donating free turkeys and so forth to the less fortunate in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a part of his A Dreamchaser's Thanksgiving, he plans to feed upwards of 600 families on Thursday (Nov. 28).
“I'm blessed to be in a position where I can make sure that as many people as possible have a meal on Thanksgiving, so that they can be with their loved ones to enjoy the holiday,” states Meek.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will join the hometown MC at several giveaway stops.
He stated, “I applaud Meek Mill for taking the initiative to give back to his home town. Gathering together with family and friends around a shared meal is one of the most important aspects of the holiday season. It is important to give thanks for all that we have, and I am proud that one of Philadelphia's own is donating his time and resources to make sure families in our city can do just that.”
