Grinding
When August first started showcasing his talent, he posted a “gang” of Youtube video covers from artists such as Musiq Soulchild and Lyfe Jennings until he was kicked out his house in Houston at the age of 16. When reality set in, August packed his belongings and moved back to New Orleans to fend for himself. He initially spent his time bouncing from one family members crib to the next. At this point, August desperately turned to the streets and started hustling. He never forgot his dream of being a singer and later relocated to Atlanta in 2011 to begin his journey as a musician under the guidance of NNTME MuCo. It seem dreams, hard work and prayer works because August found himself working with the award winning singer/songwriter The-Dream, who is prepping his debut project for release through his Radio Killa/Def Jam imprint. August has just started from our perspective, but he has been on a long journey. Hopefully, he will be able to add some of that New Orleans’ realness to the game.
