The Thrill
The night of the 2013 Billboard Awards goes down in history as one of the most talked about events this year (so far), thanks to Miguel. As he performed “Adorn”, Miguel decided to leap across the fan pit to the other side of the stage, landing on a female fan in the process. Miguel, causing her to slam her head on the stage itself, struck Khyati Shah. After the performance, Khyati was taken backstage where she received an ice pack and was also given a chance to meet and mingle with Miguel. Needless to say Twitter and Instagram went into overdrive with comments, jokes, and instant replay videos of the performance. Khyati stated that she was all right, but as time passed she realized that she was having cognitive problems. It turns out that her injury was more serious then she thought and went under serious tests and examinations. The thrill that Miguel felt jumping across the stage may have caused him a lawsuit.Â
