Jesse Boykins III – P.O.P. [Purpose or People]

Jesse Boykins II offers up more of his unique R&B style with a collection of covers, remixes and original tracks in this EP P.O.P [Purpose or People]. The first project since the 2012 collaborative project Zulu Guru with Melo-X, P.O.P includes production from Iman Omari, Full Crate, Sinden, Ango, and Big Mono, along with covers inspired by Drake (Doing It Wrong), Lana Del Rey (Young & Beautiful), Chris Brown (Beautiful People). He enlists The Weeknd for a new original “B4 The Weeknd Is Thru,” along with other originals such as “LiveLove,” “I’m New Here,” and “Lover of My World.”

“A lot of these songs were songs I’d been listening to while I was on tour in Europe earlier this year,” Boykins told Red Bull. “These were the songs that kept me going…so when I got back home, I decided to record them.”

P.O.P is just a treat for fans before he drops his upcoming Love Apparatus LP.
