Singers and TV personalities Tamar Braxton (The Braxtons) and Adrienne Bailon (3LW, The Cheetah Girls), along with Tamera Mowry-Housely (Sister, Sister), comedian Loni Love and style expert Jeannie Mai (How Do I Look?), have been tapped to host a round-table table talk show called "The Real."
The Telepictures–produced show will be along the lines of "The View" and "The Talk," only with an all-women-of color panel aiming for the under-40 demographic. The show is slated for a test run this summer beginning July 8 on select FOX affiliates across the country, with hopes of the show being picked up nationwide in the fall.
"The Real" joins talk shows like Queen Latifah’s show and Kardashian momager Kris Jenner’s show “Kris” also premiering this fall. With the majority of daytime-dramas off the air, the daytime television landscape seems to be getting crowded.
