Usher On The Voice: ‘I Never Dread Going To Work’

It may be too early to tell if he'll return for another season, but Usher is really enjoying his job on "The Voice."

Addressing the season thus far, including strong ratings, Usher says he doesn't dread going in at all and actually considers it fun from start to finish.

"I don’t come to the set concerned. I never dread going to work. Sometimes the days go long, but it’s still worth it. You’re laughing until the last moment," Usher shared with NY Daily News over the weekend.

As seen last week on "The Voice," the coaches wrapped up the battle round portion of the competition and are now going to the knockout round. On May 6, they will begin live shows.

"I really don’t know what to expect, since it’s my first time, but that’s the beautiful part," Usher said of the live shows. "This show has by far the greatest mixture of people you’ll ever see together on one stage. This is the type of shared moment and beautiful diversity that every show wants. And we’re all just so comfortable with it."

According to rating figures from last week, "The Voice" is leading the pack of currently airing reality competition shows, drawing over 14 million viewers on Monday nights.
