Jill Scott has been cast to play a role in the drama pilot "Second Sight."
If "Second Sight" gets picked up, it will air on CBS and focus on a lead detective with the New Orleans Police Department, who is hiding the fact that he has an ocular disorder that causes him to have hallucinations.
Jill Scott will play Dr. Callier, a specialist that works closely with the detective, helping him with his ocular disease.
Jill Scott's credits include "Why Did I Get Married," "Steel Magnolias," "The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency (HBO)" and the forthcoming movie "Baggage Claim."
Just last month, Jill Scott mentioned upcoming projects in film and television, while attending a pre-Grammy party.
"I did six different jobs this week. I wore a lot of hats," Scott shared on the Pre-Grammy party red carpet. "I've done an animated series. I've been in a television show. I've auditioned for some things…."
