Fresh off singing the National Anthem at the Superbowl this Sunday, Alicia Keys is now set as a halftime performer for the 62nd annual NBA All-Star game.
The “Girl on Fire” singer, who was recently named the Global Creative Director of BlackBerry, will perform a medley of her hits during halftime at Houston’s Toyota Center on February 17th. Singer Ne-Yo will kick off the night’s big event with a selection of his songs for the game’s introductions and John Legend will be there to grace the crowd with the national anthem.
Keys, Ne-Yo, and Legend are a few amongst the many talents that will entertain for All-Star weekend. Fall Out Boy has also recently announced their reunion and will perform Live on TV for the first time since the band’s disbandment in 2009. They will play their new single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Day (Light Em Up)” on Saturday, Feb. 16 for the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night. The event will also include Ellie Goulding and Phillip Phillips.
Nick Cannon will host Saturday’s event with RaVaughn and Michelle Peavy performing the U.S. and Canadian national anthems, which will air at 7:00 pm on TNT. For Sunday’s night’s All-Star game, actress and singer Gloria Reuben will perform the Canadian national anthem before the game.
All-Star weekend is gearing up to be an exciting weekend of entertainment for music and basketball fans.
