Justin Timberlake has been working on another secret project. In addition to secretly recording songs, like "Suit & Tie," last year, Timberlake has had cameras following his every move since last June. Much of that footage, going behind the scenes, will be included in a soon to be released documentary.
"The 20/20 Experience" singer broke the news via Ryan Seacrest's radio show Monday.
"Not to give too much away because you know I like surprising the fans, but that little piece of footage is from a documentary we started working on throughout the making of the album, which started last June," Timberlake told Seacrest of footage we saw during his countdown video released last month. "So it was more a little excerpt from that, which I kinda thought about afterwards. Like, oh, people don't know about the documentary. This seems a little weird."
It's unclear when the documentary will be released and how it will be released, via television, theaters or as a DVD/Bluray effort.
"I'm still in the process of figuring all of it out. That was kind of a whirlwind, we got a phone call, got confirmed (and) I'm like 'oh wait, I should put something together.' So I'm the process of doing something right now," said Timberlake.
Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Sting are also slated to perform during Sunday's Grammy Awards.
"The 20/20 Experience" drops March 19.
