‘Totally T-Boz’ Set to Debut on New Year’s Day (Video Sneak Peek)

The 1990’s girl group TLC may no longer be around, but one of the group’s surviving members, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, is getting involved with TLC again: The Learning Channel, that is. Watkins’ show, Totally T-Boz, will premiere on January 1st, symbolically beginning at the New Year as she begins a new chapter in life.

In the series, cameras followed T-Boz as she relocates to Los Angeles to rejuvenate her music career. After the passing of TLC group member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, financial issues, and medical battles with sickle cell anemia and brain tumor surgery that left her recovering for the past three years, Watkins sees her life as a second chance, ready to use her gift of music to help others.

In the clip below, T-Boz meets up with mega-producer Bangladesh to discuss a possible future collaboration for her musical comeback, referencing the serious medical issues that resulted in a delayed music comeback.

Totally T-Boz premieres January 1, 2013 at 8/7c on TLC.
