Alex Boyd gave his dedicated fans a special treat on Thursday (November 15th) during his New York stop at the legendary S.O.B’s venue. The singer-songwriter was all smiles as he entertained his fans, at times thanking them for “sticking with him.” During the 45-minute set, Boyd, who was first signed to Jive Records and transitioned to RCA, introduced new songs as well as performed fan favorites, including “Light Up Tonight and his new single “I Wish I Knew” (below).
As previously reported, Boyd will join Chrisette Michele on tour across the east coast with stops in Baltimore, Washington D.C. among other cities. While touring, Boyd will continue to put the finishing touches on his RCA debut album ‘Commit Me.’ The project is expected to feature guest including Common on “Between The Lines.”
Boyd describes his music, previously telling Singersroom, “It varies from song to song, one thing I can say is that the songs tell a story from start to finish, I mean that lyrically and sonically. I’ve expressed some of the most significant experiences in my life in these songs. I’m not out preaching about things that I know about, I’m just telling stories that have happened to me.”
Keep an eye out for this blue-eyed soul/pop crooner.
