“The Voice” wrapped up a several week round of blind auditions Monday and will soon begin battle rounds with the help of select advisers. Mary J. Blige is among the four advisers hand picked by series coaches.
Beginning next week (October 8) Blige will be seen mentoring contestants as they prepare for battle against each other.
In the battle round stage of the competition members of “Team Blake,” “Team Christina,” “Team Adam” and “Team Cee Lo” will face off in pairs performing the same song. In the end, one will continue and one will either be sent home or, in a new twist called a “steal,” get picked up by another coach.
In case that doesn’t quite make sense, watch Christina Milian breaking it down in video below:
“The Voice” is currently airing in its third season Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
