Frank Ocean feels really bad about canceling a several date trek with Coldplay at the last minute. According to the “Bad Religion” singer, this had to happen and it was a tough decision.
“Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now,” Ocean said in a statement over the weekend. “but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months.”
Ocean was to tour with the Grammy winning group starting August 28 in Denmark, he would have then played a number of major festivals and venues including Stade de France in Paris and Way Out West in Sweden. The dates were announced weeks ahead of his album “Channel Orange” being released and subsequently his much talked about public letter.
Realizing canceling out was a bad move, Ocean reiterated how sorry he was saying he’ll be back if organizers will have him.
“Sorry as fu-k, I’ll be back if you’ll have me,” said Ocean.
It’s still unclear why he pulled out. Time will tell…

Frank Ocean has recently issued an apology for canceling his tour with Coldplay. The popular artist was set to join the band on their European and North American tours, but due to undisclosed reasons he had to pull out. Fans from all around the world were disappointed by this news, hoping that some sort of resolution would soon be made. Now, after weeks of waiting in anticipation, Frank Ocean has finally stepped up and apologized for disappointing fans across the globe.

In a statement released yesterday, Frank expressed how sorry he was for having to cancel the tour at such short notice. He explained that unforeseen circumstances meant there wasn’t enough time for him to prepare himself or team adequately for it. As well as apologizing directly to fans who purchased tickets expecting him to perform, he also thanked Coldplay for being so understanding despite his last minute cancellation.

It is clear that both Frank and Coldplay have taken great care when dealing with this delicate situation – they kept fans updated throughout the process and are now doing what they can to make amends. It remains unclear why exactly Frank canceled the tour in the first place; however, many people will no doubt welcome his apology as a sign of good faith between artists and their audience.

Statement From Frank Ocean

At the start of July, I made the difficult decision to cancel my upcoming tour with Coldplay. It’s a choice that was not taken lightly, and one that I apologize for deeply.
I have so much respect for Chris Martin and his bandmates, as well as their fans who were looking forward to seeing us together on stage. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, it became necessary for me to postpone the shows indefinitely.
It has been an incredibly challenging time in my life these past few months – both personally and professionally. That being said, I am doing everything I can to make sure that this experience hasn’t left anyone feeling disappointed or let down. Moving forward, I’m determined to come back stronger than ever before.
Thank you all for your understanding and continued support during this difficult period.

Response From Coldplay

As a band, we understand and empathize with Frank’s difficult decision to cancel the tour. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans who were looking forward to seeing us together on stage – your loyalty and understanding means the world to us.

We are disappointed that we won’t be able to share these special moments with you but we’re confident that Frank is doing everything he can in order to return stronger than ever before. Coldplay will continue supporting him as much as possible during this challenging time.

At the end of the day, music has always been an important part of healing and providing comfort for people around the world. It is our hope that everyone finds peace and solace through their favorite songs during times of difficulty.

Conclusion

In the end, Frank Ocean and Coldplay were both apologetic in their statements. Though it was disappointing to fans that their tour was cancelled, they understood the reasons why.

Frank expressed his regret for having to cancel the tour due to creative differences. He apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused, hoping fans could still find ways to support his music. Similarly, Coldplay also expressed their sorrow over canceling the joint venture with Frank but recognised and respected his choice as an artist.

Ultimately, while it’s unfortunate that the show wasn’t able to go on, there is plenty of goodwill between these two artists which should ensure a successful future collaboration if possible. Fans can look forward to enjoying more great music from them both separately or together whenever possible in the near future!
