With over six months of 2012 on the books, a list of this year’s top grossing touring artists has been released. Among those in the top 10 are Lady Gaga, Drake, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Coldplay and Roger Waters.
While Waters leads the world chart with $158.1 million, followed by Springsteen ($79.9 million), the Michael Jackson: Immortal show with Cirque Du Soleil tops the North American chart with $78.5 million in earnings. With that figure, the tour comes in at no.3 on the world chart as well.
Kicked off last year, the ‘Immortal’ show features some of Jackson’s most recognized music. Since its launch, R&B singers including Marcus Canty, Brandy and Rihanna have been in attendance.
Coldplay and Lady Gaga follow Jackson’s “Immortal” with 73.9 million and 67.2 million grossed respectively since January 1.
“Take Care” talent Drake also brought in 42.6 million while “MDNA” diva Madonna raked in 42.1 million.
While Madonna ranked high on the world chart, Drake actually made most of his earnings in North America. With an average ticket price of $58.66, Drake raked in $30.2 of $42.6 million in North America.
In case you’re wondering where R&B singers ranked overall, JLS pulled in $13.6 million; Prince earned $18.1 million; and New Edition has earned $8.6 million so far.

It’s been a wild ride for the concert tour industry in 2020. Despite pandemic-related cancellations and restrictions, some of the world’s most popular music acts have still managed to make it onto this year’s top tours list. Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Drake lead the way as the highest grossing artists on the road this year. Let’s take a closer look at what made these three superstars stand out from the competition.

The first name that comes to mind when discussing 2020’s biggest touring giants is Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil. This production has earned more than $200 million since its initial release in late 2011 and continues to be one of the most successful musical shows ever created. It was recently reworked for 2021 with new costumes, choreography, effects, and songs dedicated to MJ himself – making it an unmissable experience for fans around the world.

Lady Gaga also had a standout year on the touring circuit thanks largely to her acclaimed Las Vegas residency show Enigma. She dazzled audiences across North America all throughout 2019 before taking her show overseas earlier this year, where she played sold-out nights in Europe and Japan through early March until coronavirus concerns forced her to cancel upcoming dates. And lastly there’s Drake who came in third place despite having no live performances due to social distancing regulations; his record-breaking Assassination Vacation Tour helped him land high on this year’s list even without hitting any stages!

Overview Of Most Popular Tours

This year has seen an incredible number of popular tours from some of the biggest names in music. From Jackson to Lady Gaga and Drake, fans across the globe have been flocking to see their favorite artists live. Whether they’re performing sold-out arenas or intimate venues, these stars are sure to put on unforgettable shows.

When it comes to touring this past year, Jackson’s highly anticipated tour was one of the most successful. With massive stages and elaborate production numbers, his show captivated audiences around the world. Fans could expect a mix of classic hits as well as tracks off his new album. It was a must-see event for anyone who is a fan of pop music.

Lady Gaga also made waves with her ‘Enigma’ concert series that saw her perform at various venues throughout the US and Europe. Her visually stunning performances featured costume changes and pyrotechnic displays that left everyone mesmerized. Likewise, Drake had huge success with his ‘Aubrey & The Three Migos’ tour where he performed several hit songs from his extensive discography alongside Quavo, Offset and Takeoff from Migos.

The level of talent showcased during these top tours was simply astounding; providing fans everywhere with unique experiences that will remain with them forever.

Analysis Of Artists’ Success

When analyzing the success of these iconic tours, it’s clear that each artist has something unique to offer. Jackson dazzled audiences with his show-stopping performances, Lady Gaga brought a creative and visually stunning spectacle, and Drake captivated fans with his popular hits alongside Migos. All three acts have achieved great success due to their ability to connect with their audience on an intimate level.

The production value of all these shows was also a factor in their massive popularity; Jackson created an awe-inspiring set design while Lady Gaga put together a truly mesmerizing light display. Similarly, Drake’s tour featured some of the most advanced sound systems available at the time. It’s no surprise that these incredible elements combined resulted in such successful tours for each artist.

Overall, this past year saw an impressive number of top tours from some incredibly talented performers. Through both their stage presence and innovative production techniques, they managed to create experiences that will stay in fan’s memories forever.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the year’s top tours list was dominated by artists like Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Drake. These three powerhouse performers were able to capitalize on their unique styles and draw in huge crowds all around the world. Their success is indicative of a music industry that continues to be driven largely by superstar talent.

It’s no surprise that these three acts have achieved such immense popularity; each has built up an incredible fan base through years of hard work and dedication to their craft. They’ve also proven themselves capable of adapting to changing trends in the industry while staying true to their own artistic visions.

The successes of Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Drake demonstrate what can be accomplished when you combine skill with passion for your art form. While other artists may come and go within the music industry, these three will remain at the very top of the field for many years to come.
