Beyonce is throwing herself back into work mode after giving birth approximately five months ago. After a short stint of performances in Atlantic City for Memorial Day weekend, the busy hit-maker and first-time mom is preparing to be the voice of Queen Tara in the animated film “Epic.” Other stars to be included in the cast are actor Colin Farrell, rapper Pitbull, and rocker Steven Tyler.
According to the press release, “Epic” will be a 3-D CGI animated film, much like Ice Age and Madagascar. The plot tells of a teenage girl who has been transported to a secret world, and must cooperate with a gang of colorful characters to save that world and the real world.
In other Beyonce-movie news, the singer is also slated to appear in the Clint Eastwood remake “A Star Is Born.”
“Epic” is set for release in May 2013.
