Songstress Janelle Monae joined President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday (April 9). The event, themed “Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move,” drew tens of thousands of kids and their parents and encouraged physical activity as part of Mrs. Obama’s initiative to counter childhood obesity.
Monae, who is heavily supported by President Obama, was one of the event’s entertainers. Other performers included Cody Simpson, Rachel Crow and the characters from “Sesame Street.”
“HUGE THANK YOU 2 The First Family for having me & my family here,” tweeted Janelle.
