After shutting down Times Square on Friday night for phone giant Nokia’s launch of the Windows Phone-based Nokia Lumia 900, rapper Nicki Minaj jetted back to LA on Saturday for a CD signing event at Best Buy at Westfield Culver City.
During the event, Minaj, who just released her sophomore album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,’ signed copies of the new album while having fun with an Easter Bunny.
In related news, Minaj recently spoke with radio personality Charlamagne Tha God about people thinking she is selling out and her trying to accomplish a feat that not many female rappers have been able to do.
“For everyone who doesn’t understand me, there’s someone who does. I grew up in New York my whole life, so I wasn’t having the same conversation I was having in the block that I was having in the office when I was working on Wall Street,” says Minaj. “It’s unfortunate that Hip Hop culture forces people to lean only to one side, when that’s detrimental to your future and growth. We haven’t seen what Jay Z has done happen with a woman.”
