Some of the most memorable voices in R&B/Soul will be coming to television via ‘The Ladies of R&B’ — a reality series.
Set to feature voices responsible for hits like “I Love You,” “Touch It,” and “I Am Your Woman,” The Ladies of R&B will feature Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert (Brownstone), Keke Wyatt, Monifah Carter and Syleena Johnson.
TV One confirmed the series Tuesday, which was discussed last year in a number of interviews.
‘The Ladies of R&B’ will follow the women solo, together and in different combinations as they not only fight to get their lives on track but also to pay their good fortune forward. Divorce, parenting, drugs and alcohol, physical abuse and more – these ladies have survived it all and continue to deal with life’s battles each day, reports TV One.
A premiere date has not, as of yet, been set. However, each episode will be an hour in length with a premiere during the third quarter of this year (Summer/Fall).
