If you are physically attracted to the person, you may be infatuated.
If you are physically, mentally and emotionally attracted to the person, you may be in love.

If you think about the person almost all of the time, you may be in love.
If you want to talk to the person every day, you may be infatuated.
If you want to talk to the person every day just to ensure he or she is having a good day, you may be in love.
If you love going out and having fun with the person, you may be infatuated.
If you love spending time with the person even if you’re doing absolutely nothing at all, you may be in love.

If you want the person to be a part of your life, you may be in love.
If you want the person to meet your friends, you may be infatuated.
