Over the past 25 years, Oprah has had an endless list of A-listers and top artists as guests on her talk show. In honor of her show coming to an end this year, we took a look back at some of our favorite music artists she’s hosted and created an Oprah-friendly playlist.
Jay-Z – Hard Knock Life
Oprah is a huge fan of Jay-z and his rags-to-riches story, and even followed him to the housing projects where he grew up to do an interview with him.
Whitney Houston – I Didn’t Know My Own Strength
When the pop star appeared on Oprah’s talk show when she released her latest album, I Look to You, Oprah mentioned that this was her favorite track.
Beyonce – Irreplacable
Beyonce, who has appeared on Oprah’s couch a few times, would likely be a part of Oprah’s playlist as well.
Fantasia – Bittersweet
Oprah chose Fantasia to appear in her Broadway play, The Color Purple, which proves she’s a fan of the American Idol star.
Willow Smith – 21st Century Girl
Kid star Willow Smith is well-liked by Oprah and performed this hit on Oprah’s show.
Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling
In celebration of The Oprah Winfrey Show’s 24th season, 21,000 fans performed a surprise dance on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago to this Black Eyed Peas hit.
Christina Aguilera – Not Myself Tonight
Christina performed this single on Oprah’s show last year, and Oprah seemed impressed.
Bebe and CeCe Winans – Grace
Bro-and-sis gospel duo have appeared on Oprah’s talk and radio show numerous times, and they performed “Grace” last year on her stage.
John Legend – Wake Up Everybody
Along with the Roots, John Legend performed this rendition of this 1975 classic song by Harold Melvin & the Blue Note.
Celine Dion – My Heart Will Go On
Celine Dion is a popular guest on Oprah’s show, just recently showing off her miracle twins. “My Heart Will Go On” is Celine’s best-selling single and biggest hit.
