When Cassie released her first and hugely successful single “Me & U” (which was written and produced by Ryan Leslie) in 2006, she was no stranger to being in the spotlight. At the young age of fourteen, Cassie began modeling and appeared in catalogs and print ads. After high school, she moved to New York City and met Ryan Leslie who helped launch her singing career. Leslie would eventually convince Diddy to partner with him to release her self-titled debut album. Fast forward four years, and one may ask the question: What’s next for Cassie?
A new album?
Despite multiple delays and move to a new label, Interscope Records, Cassie is scheduled to release her second album, Electro Love, this year. Although she’s already released three underrated singles for the album, she has a 50/50 chance that the album could do well. And if it doesn’t, there’s always the next album. Third time’s a charm, right?
A new modeling stint?
Earlier this year, Cassie appeared in a few Walmart ads modeling for their OP clothing line. Since Walmart also happens to be the world’s largest public corporation, Cassie could possibly ink another major deal soon.
A new man?
For years, rumors and photos have swirled that makes many suspect that Cassie and Diddy, who also happens to be her boss, are an item. Recent reports however have claimed that the two have broken up. If it’s true, we might soon see Cassie with a new man or rebound a guy at the least.
