Traveling to exotic places is just a part of the fabulous lives of celebrities. Take a sneak peek at some of their favorite summer destinations, and find out where to stay, eat and play if you decide to visit any of them yourself.

Puerto Rico

You don’t need a passport to get to this island, and you’ll still feel like you’re getting out of the country for the weekend. Lisa Raye recently hosted her 1st annual Back 2 Business affair on the island during Memorial Day weekend.

Best place to stay: Hotel El Convento ( is a historic and luxury boutique hotel in San Juan which resembles Spanish Colonial architecture and design.

Best place to eat: Pikayo (, a Caribbean restaurant in San Juan that specializes in fusion cuisine, is rated a top restaurant by many food critics.

Best place to play: Old San Juan is a great area to go shopping, and visit galleries and museums. At night, it turns into a fun bar-hopping scene.


Jay-Z has certainly graduated from “resorts and islands,” and he and Beyonce were recently spotted in France’s City of Light.

Best place to stay: Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris (, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Paris which is known for its impeccable service.

Best place to eat: Aux Lyonnais (, which is run by world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse.

Best place to play: The Ecole de Cuisine’s “Cook’n With Class,” a personalized 4-5 hour cooking class. Plus, who wouldn’t want to learn how to make great French food while in Paris?

St. Barts

John Legend recently took his girlfriend on a vacay to this exquisitely beautiful island located in the Caribbean Sea.

Best place to stay: Hotel Le Toiny ( Each room is a self-contained villa suite with a private terrace and pool. Enough said.

Best place to eat: Do Brazil (, a restaurant on Shell Beach where you can eat lunch or dinner with the sand beneath your toes.

Best place to play: The beaches. Since the beaches are so magnificent, you’ll get a kick out of seeing all of them. Be sure to check out St. Jean Beach and Grand Cul de Sac.


Miami is clearly a celebrity playground. Everyone from Diddy to Kelly Rowland to Halle Berry have been spotted in South Beach in just the past couple of months.

Best place to stay: EPIC Hotel ( This downtown Kimpton hotel gives you the privacy and luxury you crave but it’s not too far from the lively atmosphere of Ocean Avenue.

Best place to eat: Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant ( This seafood restaurant may only be open October to May but it’s definitely worth going to, or at least trying to get a table at.

Best place to play: The Everglades (, which is full of adventure! You can see alligators and other wild animals in their natural habitat, and even take an airboat tour.


Hawaii may be a popular honeymoon destination, but it can also be a place to celebrate engagements like Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys did earlier this year, or just a place to vacation for people like Shaunie O’Neal and the Obamas.

Best place to stay: Halekulani (, a luxury hotel in Honolulu located right on Waikiki Beach.

Best place to eat: La Mer (, a French-inspired restaurant at the Halekulani hotel, plus it’s the only AAA five Diamond restaurant in the state.

Best place to play: The Pacific Ocean. You can swim, snorkel, dive, or just simply lie on the beach. It might be the only place you’ll want to hit the entire time you’re there.
