While Sammie is not a new comer to the music game by any means, “Ladies Night Out” reminded fans of his presence and the fact that he can still put on a great show.
Taking the stage after Unique and Kevin Cossom, Sammie performed “You Should Be My Girl” and “Come With Me” from his self titled 2006 album. Also performing a Maxwell-esq song titled “Take It Slow,” Sammie highlighted his vocal range and harmonizing capabilities before an eager audience.
Overall the performance was just the reintroduction needed from Sammie before the fall 2009 release of his album “Coming of Age.” He’s been gone for a minute but we gladly welcome Sammie back…again. Ten years in the game and he won’t be slowing down anytime soon!
