R&B songbirds Keyshia Cole and Patti Labelle have signed on to perform at âDivas Simply Singing,â an annual AIDS charity benefit hosted by Sheryl Lee Ralph. Set for October 11th, Divas Simply Singing will celebrates itâs 18th Annual benefit with Sheryl Lee Ralph, Siedah Garrett and Patti Austin. Billed as a magical evening of song and entertainment that will benefit the Women Alive Coalition in 2008, the unusual event features a host of the most talented women in the entertainment business united in a benefit concert to continue the courageous battle against HIV/AIDS. Keyshia Cole and Patti Labelle have signed to perform at âDivas Simply Singingâ where the will honor Dionne Warwick and Nancy Wilson. In 1990 Sheryl Lee Ralph established the Diva Foundation and created DIVAS Simply Singing! as a loving memorial to the many friends she had lost to HIV/AIDS. For 18 consecutive years, the Diva and her friends have come together to raise their voices in song and commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. Each diva performs one song with the sole accompaniment of a concert grand piano. Every cent of the millions raised through their efforts goes to help men, women, and children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
