Ever since it was revealed that singer/TV host Tamar Braxton was fired from “The Real” daytime talk show, questions have been flying; just what happened to cause this latest daytime TV shake-up?
Over the weekend, Tamar shared on Instagram that she felt like she was stabbed in the back by someone she trusted.
“I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters). I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch,” she wrote. “But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light.”
Then an official statement was released by “The Real” saying that Tamar wasn’t returning for the third season of the show to “concentrate on her solo career.”
The Jasmine Brand reported that all four remaining co-hosts were blindsided by the news of Tamar’s departure. A source said the castmates get along very well behind the scenes and are devastated, saying no meeting was held or anything.
Co-host Loni Love released a video to clear up what ent down when she and the other hosts found out about the Tamar’s firing.
Now it’s being revealed that the decision to give Tamar the boot was by executive producer Rachel Miscowiec, who started with the show in the beginning of the second season in 2015. According to more reports, Tamar did not perform well with focus groups and her relationship with production was strained, with some reports saying she was even difficult to work with.
A “reliable source” tells BOSSIP:
“Rachel Miskowiec, she is the executive producer of “The Real” and she is the person who is behind Tamar getting fired. She is who Tamar was talking about. Rachel felt deeply threatened by all the hosts immediately after she started, she deliberately kept them in the dark on all key decisions on the show. The source says Rachel disliked Tamar’s husband Vince, who’s one of the show’s prodcers. “She constantly complained behind the scenes about Vincent,” the source said. “He was not ever cooperative with her. He was always advocating on behalf of Tamar but when the show needed something from him, he was always uncooperative and unresponsive. That really frustrated the executive producer. She feels that all the hosts are pretty dispensable. Part of this is trying to show a message that they are dispensable. She wants to basically keep them on their toes.”
Right now, filming for season two is finished, and it’s unclear whether producers will get another host, or if they’ll leave the co-hosting duties at four. Whatever happened, Tamar’s absence will definitely shake up the show. Do you think the ratings will survive the shake-up?
