“It’s about being blindsided by the ultimate betrayal by your partner,” says Michaela. “I haven’t shared this much of myself on any other song yet and am looking forward to showing this side of me.”
She adds: “And like my last single “1954”, it was important to me to display a certain amount of defiance and strength in the lyrics to let listeners know that no matter how you’ve been hurt, you will still be ok.”
