Like father, like daughter!
Unlike her father, Hollywood actor, director Robert Townsend, Skye Townsend is showcasing her talent on a different platform, but one thing that seems unique between the two is their gift to entertain.
Over the weekend, Skye released the new EP, Rocking Chairs, which serves as the follow-up to her 2012 offering, Vomit. The 5-song set, which includes the early fan favorite “Red Wine,” the exhilarating, “Power,” and the feel-good title track, showcases the R&B newcomer’s vocal authority and heartfelt delivery, all while inviting listeners into her vulnerable space.
Rocking Chairs will definitely turn your light bulb on to Skye Townsend. The project is strong lyrically and vocally, with a soothing accompaniment of emotion.
