Singersroom has been following singer-songwriter Victoria Monèt since early 2010 so, it’s great to see her finally bringing her artistry to the forefront.
Monèt began building her name in the industry after logging her first songwriting placement with the group, Diddy Dirty Money. That led her to pen songs for chart-topping artists including Ariana Grande, Mary J. Blige, Fifth Harmony, Chris Brown and more.
Now, the spotlight changes to Monèt’s solo work and her Atlantic Records debut, Nightmares & Lullabies, a 5-track set, which is the first ACT in a collection of twelve songs.
“I’m calling it Nightmares & Lullabies,” Monet says of her debut, “because it’s about the juxtaposition of soft vocal sultriness with epic, aggressive production. It’s about showing what I’ve been through.”
Nightmares & Lullabies continue to showcase Monèt’s penmanship while showcasing to fans that she is an artist to be reckoned with. The set is led by the B.o.B-assisted single, “For The Thrill,” which sees the songstress demanding what she wants as well as “Made in China,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
