So much for those tender lyrics “I’ll be there ‘Anytime’” on their couples duet…
According to Us Weekly, just three months after giving birth to their baby boy Future Wilburn, 28-year-old singer Ciara has called off her engagement to rapper Future (Nayvadius Cash). Awkward enough, she’s covering the August/September issue of Brides Magazine.
A source tells the weekly mag, "He cheated on her. Game over,” while another insider dishes, "She's devastated. Ciara's focus now is the baby." The former couple got engaged last October (’13) on Ciara’s birthday, and she had the baby on May 19.
As unfortunate as this is, can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Future has previous children by three different women, one of them being Brittini Mealy, who publicly told the The YBF of Future’s commitment issues. “I know the real “him”, the part she [Ciara] doesn’t know. They are just “honeymooning” right now. Everything always seems perfect in the beginning,” she said. “He obviously loves the mothers, but something about adding a kid to the equation changes things for him.”
However, if true, CiCi must be putting on a brave face for the public, because she’s about to be back in the spotlight after revealing she will be featured on the new version/season of MTV’s House of Style. She wrote on her Instagram account, “2Day Was A Good Day. #CCMTVHouseOfStyle Coming Soon. I’m Gonna #DoMore Baby!:) #Zonin. Xo.”
Well, now that there’s a(nother) child in the picture, we can only hope that Ciara and Future can remain civil and get back on their careers to provide for little Future.
