Before Chris Brown broke up with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, he was put in an uncomfortable situation when she met current girlfriend Rihanna. Brown, who began dating Tran after splitting with Rihanna in 2009, told New York's TV/Radio personality Sway that prior to him reconciling with Rihanna in October (2012), the three went to the same party in France that summer (12), and he thought they would create a scene.
"One time I was overseas… in Cannes… I had a girlfriend (Tran) but I was still talking to Rihanna… (There was) a party on this big boat and my girl was there, and maybe 15 minutes later, Rihanna showed up. But I'm on the boat like, 'Oh, s**t, what am I gonna do right now?' But you know what? They were cool. They spoke to each other and I was like, 'Woah'. I was just like, 'Please, please, please (don't start a scene)', but honestly that was the first time I can say I knew they loved me because they were classy."
Now in a committed relationship with Rihanna, Brown keeps in touch with Tran professionally, the two currently work on his clothing line, Black Pyramid.
"We're cool man. I wish it could be better because of obvious reasons, but I think it's better to see her happy and successful… She still does the clothing line with me, so it's still a camaraderie between us…"
We're guessing Rihanna's friend Melissa Forde wasn't at the shindig to stir things up!
