Is En Vogue Getting Another Member Makeover?

Legendary R&B girl group En Vogue may be making some changes in their line up once again. After Dawn Robinson left the group in 1997, the group has seen the coming and going of members for her replacement until 2010, when the group reunited with all four original members for a 20th anniversary tour and album.

According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Robinson has since left the group again, and announced via Twitter that Maxine Jones has also left, and will be going forward as a “new” En Vogue. Robinson’s tweeted announcement say, “MAXINE & I HAVE LEFT THE BUILDING & NOW WE’RE REHEARSING FOR AN EV TOUR W 2 “NEW” GIRLS. WE WILL BE IN UR CITY SOON SO COME PARTY WITH US!…Max & I are thrilled at all the love we are receiving from each of u! This is gonna be FUN…We appreciate being lifted up so high…blessings to each of you.”

Cindy and Terry, the remaining members, responded with an open letter to fans:

“Dear EnVogue fans,

In regards to the recent twitter and face book posts alleging that Terry and Cindy have replaced Maxine Jones with Rhona, we would like to respond. Terry and Cindy are not replacing Maxine Jones. We have however asked Rhona to fill in temporarily so that we can continue to bring live shows to our fans. Thus far, Rhona has only done three shows with us since June 2012. The group has always added someone whenever a member has been unable or unwilling to perform or has left the group. Terry and I have not kicked Maxine out of the group. There are always two sides to a story and many internal facts that you the fans aren’t hearing about. In an effort to not air dirty laundry, or appear to point the finger at anyone, we respectfully choose to remain silent on the internal issues. We appreciate you the fans continuing to support Envogue individually, and as a whole.

Thank you,

Cindy and Terry”

Stay tuned to see how this turns out. The saga continues…

En Vogue is one of the most successful girl groups in music history. They have released hit after hit, and their influence on pop culture continues to be felt even today. Now, it looks like there might be a change coming for En Vogue – rumors are swirling that they are set to get a makeover with another new member joining the group! Could this mean an exciting new chapter for En Vogue? Let’s take a closer look at what all we know about this potential shake-up.

The news of a possible shift within En Vogue has been met with both anticipation and trepidation from fans. On one hand, introducing a new member could bring fresh energy and excitement to the group. However, some fear that any changes may disrupt the current chemistry between original members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron-Braggs, and Rhona Bennett. After all, these three ladies have been harmonizing together since 1989 when they first formed as quartet!

So who will join the legendary trio if indeed they do decide to add another person? Will it be someone already familiar or perhaps an entirely new face? What kind of sound can we expect them to produce? All of these questions remain unanswered – but one thing is certain: whatever happens next for En Vogue will undoubtedly have us captivated.

Overview Of En Vogue

En Vogue is an iconic American girl group that has been around for over two decades. Formed in Oakland, California in the late 1980s, the four original members were Dawn Robinson, Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron-Braggs, and Maxine Jones. The quartet released multiple albums spanning a variety of genres including R&B/Soul, Pop, Hip Hop/Rap, Jazz and Gospel music. These albums have produced several hit singles such as: “Hold On,” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Free Your Mind” and more.

The band’s signature sound comes from their powerful vocal harmonies which are often referred to as ‘stacking.’ They also blend styles like doo-wop with hip hop beats resulting in an updated classic R&B sound. Over the years they’ve collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Prince, Missy Elliott and Snoop Dogg.

In recent years En Vogue has gone through various changes due to member departures making it unclear whether or not they will be getting another makeover anytime soon. However considering their legacy of success and strong fan base there is no doubt that whatever happens next will be sure to leave its mark on popular culture history.

Recent Developments In The Group’s Lineup

Since their formation, En Vogue has undergone various changes in terms of its members. In 2004, Cindy Herron-Braggs left the group to focus on her solo career and was replaced by Rhona Bennett. However, due to creative differences between Bennett and the other members, she eventually left the group as well. Shortly after this departure came news that Dawn Robinson had also decided to leave the band. This caused a major shift in the line up with Ellis and Jones being the only two remaining original members.

In 2008 new members Amanda Cole and Michelle Williams joined the lineup but unfortunately they too would only be part of En Vogue for a brief period of time before leaving again in 2011. Since then there have been no announcements about any additional member additions or replacements which means fans are still waiting to see what will come next from this iconic girl group.

At present it seems that Terry Ellis and Maxine Jones are continuing forward with En Vogue’s legacy while maintaining their signature vocal harmonies. They continue to tour across North America performing fan favorites such as: ‘Hold On,’ ‘My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Free Your Mind” and more making sure that audiences get all of their classic hits live onstage!

Conclusion

En Vogue has been an iconic group in the music industry for decades. They have seen many changes to their lineup since they first debuted, but despite this, they remain a beloved and popular act. In recent months, there has been speculation that another member makeover could be on its way for En Vogue.

Though it’s not clear who might join or leave the group as part of such a plan, the possibilities are exciting. It’s possible that we could see some new faces joining En Vogue and allowing them to reach even greater heights with their sound and style. With any luck, whatever happens in terms of personnel changes will help to further cement the legacy of En Vogue as one of the greatest acts in R&B history.

In short, though only time will tell if there is indeed going to be another member makeover for En Vogue, fans can take comfort knowing that regardless of what does or does not happen, the group will continue to bring us amazing music and performances for years to come.
